LAFC, who had not conceded a goal in their first two matches, struggled defensively in the second half and managed goals from Nathan Ordaz and David Martinez.
Sounders midfielder Pedro de la Vega exited the match in the first half with a quadriceps injury, with Albert Rusnak stepping in and contributing a goal and two assists.
