Kanye West Sued For Grabbing Photographer's Phone and Throwing It Into Traffic

Photographer Nichol Lechmanik is suing Ye for assault, battery, and negligence after he grabbed her phone and threw it into the street.
Lechmanik claims Ye gave her a "death stare" and feared he may have been armed during the January confrontation in California.
Authorities declined to press charges against Ye, stating only the phone's $30 case was damaged.
Lechmanik is seeking damages for "great mental and emotional pain" and lost earnings, hoping to set a precedent for paparazzi dealing with misbehaving celebrities.
Lechmanik's attorney, Gloria Allred, previously represented another photographer in a lawsuit against Ye in 2016.
