Karnataka High Court Dismisses ED Summons in MUDA Land Scam Case

The court ruled that the Karnataka Lokayukta's independent investigation rendered a CBI probe unnecessary and found no actionable evidence in the case.
The allegations involved compensatory land allotments valued at Rs 45 crore, which Parvathi had already surrendered, denying any receipt of illegal proceeds.
The Lokayukta's interim report described the accusations as either civil matters, legal misinterpretations, or outside the scope of criminal prosecution.
The ruling has reduced political pressure on the ruling Congress government, with opposition parties accusing the Lokayukta of bias while Congress leaders defended the clean chit.
