Karnataka MLA Gali Janardhan Reddy Disqualified After Illegal Mining Conviction

The former minister was sentenced to seven years in prison for his role in the Obulapuram mining scam, causing a Rs 884 crore loss to the exchequer.

As per the law, Reddy will remain disqualified for six years after his release from prison.
