Katherine Legge Set to Make NASCAR Cup Series Debut at Phoenix

Legge becomes the first woman to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series since Danica Patrick in 2018, driving for Live Fast Motorsports.

Katherine Legge, a 44-year-old veteran racer with an extensive motorsports resume, will debut in the NASCAR Cup Series at Phoenix Raceway this weekend.
Legge is the first female driver to compete in the Cup Series since Danica Patrick's last race in 2018 and the first to race the current Next Gen car.
She has been approved by NASCAR to race at Phoenix based on her experience on high-speed ovals, including the Indy 500 and ARCA tests, as well as her recent Xfinity Series participation.
Legge views this opportunity as a significant milestone in her career and aims to compete based on merit, while also hoping to inspire more women to enter motorsports.
Her debut coincides with International Women’s Day, adding symbolic significance to her participation in the highly competitive NASCAR Cup Series.
