Kentucky Derby Winner Mage Heads to Preakness in Quest for Triple Crown

Mage, the surprise Kentucky Derby champion, will run in the Preakness Stakes on May 20 with a chance to win the Triple Crown.
Mage's connections declared the colt fit to run after a solid workout at Churchill Downs on Friday.
The Preakness field is expected to include several Derby also-rans but be missing Derby favorite Forte and runner-up Two Phil's.
A Preakness win would put Mage on the cusp of becoming the first Triple Crown winner since Justify in 2018.
The 1 3/16-mile Preakness is the second jewel of the Triple Crown and will be held at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore.
