Kidnap Suspect Craig N. Ross Jr. Now Faces Rape Charges

Ross, initially charged with first-degree kidnapping, pleads not guilty to additional charges including predatory sexual assault against a child.

Craig N. Ross Jr., accused of kidnapping a 9-year-old girl from Moreau Lake State Park in New York, now faces rape charges.
Ross was initially charged with first-degree kidnapping, but an indictment made public on Friday added four counts of predatory sexual assault against a child, along with charges of sexual abuse, assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
The girl was found hidden in a cabinet in a camper where Ross was living, two days after her disappearance.
Ross was identified as the suspect after his fingerprints were found on a ransom note left in the girl's family's mailbox.
Ross pleaded not guilty in Saratoga County Court and has been held without bail since his arrest.
