Lael Wilcox Sets World Record for Fastest Female Circumnavigation by Bike

The Alaskan cyclist completed her 18,125-mile journey in 108 days, surpassing the previous record by 16 days.

Lael Wilcox, 38, cycled through 21 countries on four continents, starting and ending in Chicago.
She beat the previous record of 124 days held by Scottish cyclist Jenny Graham since 2018.
Wilcox's journey included significant challenges such as food poisoning and adverse weather conditions.
Her record attempt was documented through social media, a podcast, and a forthcoming documentary produced by her wife, Rugile Kaladyte.
Indian cyclist Vedangi Kulkarni is currently attempting to break Wilcox's newly set record.
