Laguna Beach Woman Found Beaten to Death in Alleyway

Police Investigating Homicide as Community Mourns Loss of Beloved Restaurant Worker

Tatum Goodwin, a 27-year-old woman, was found dead and badly beaten in an alleyway in Laguna Beach, California.
Goodwin was discovered by a construction worker on Sunday morning in a secluded location near the 200 block of Ocean Avenue, a strip of bars and restaurants across from the beach.
Goodwin worked as an assistant manager at Carmelita's restaurant in Laguna Beach for over four years and was described by friends and colleagues as a hardworking and loving individual.
Laguna Beach Police are treating Goodwin's death as a homicide and are actively working to bring the suspect(s) to justice.
A GoFundMe page has been set up in Goodwin's name to help her family with funeral expenses and to commission a mural in her memory.
