Lawyer for GOP Donor Harlan Crow Agrees to Meet with Senate Panel Probing Relationship with Justice Clarence Thomas

Harlan Crow's lawyer has offered to meet with Senate Judiciary Committee staff to discuss interactions between his client and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
The lawyer reiterated concerns that the committee does not have the authority to investigate the relationship between the two men but agreed to meet all the same.
Crow’s relationship with Thomas has been under the spotlight since ProPublica published a series of reports detailing luxury travel that Thomas received from Crow, as well as a private 2014 real estate deal with Thomas’ family.
The letter to the Judiciary Committee lays out why Bopp does not believe that it has the authority to receive information from Crow, arguing that it violates separation of powers principles between the court and Congress.
Crow has been accused of providing gifts and trips to Thomas that were not properly disclosed.
