Leeds Man Admits to Killing Delivery Driver, Denies Murder Charge

Mark Ross pleads guilty to manslaughter of Claudiu-Carol Kondor but will stand trial for murder next year.

Claudiu-Carol Kondor, a 42-year-old delivery driver, was killed on August 20 in Leeds while trying to prevent his van from being stolen.
Mark Ross, 32, admitted to manslaughter but denied the murder charge during a video-link appearance at Leeds Crown Court.
Ross is scheduled to stand trial for murder on March 4 next year, with a pre-trial review set for February 7.
Two additional suspects were arrested in connection with the incident: a 24-year-old man released on bail and a woman released under investigation.
Kondor, described by his employer SP Transport Group as a valued team member, was delivering parcels for Amazon at the time of his death.
