Loïc Meillard Wins Hafjell Slalom, Clément Noël's Globe Hopes Diminish

Swiss skier Loïc Meillard secures back-to-back victories in Norway, while Clément Noël faces a steep challenge to claim the slalom title.

Loïc Meillard claimed victory in the Hafjell slalom, finishing ahead of Norway's Atle Lie McGrath and Brazil's Lucas Pinheiro Braathen.
This marks Meillard's second win of the weekend, following his triumph in the giant slalom, and his sixth career World Cup victory.
Meillard now trails Henrik Kristoffersen by just 47 points in the slalom standings, with one race remaining in Sun Valley, USA, later this month.
Clément Noël finished seventh, widening his gap to 86 points behind Kristoffersen, and leaving his chances of winning the globe dependent on rivals' missteps.
The French skier must win in Sun Valley and hope Kristoffersen finishes outside the top 17 and Meillard outside the top 3 to secure the title.
