Local boy signs with hometown Wild; hopes to earn NHL roster spot

Vinni Lettieri, a right-shot forward and lifelong Wild fan, signed a two-year contract with the Minnesota Wild.
Lettieri has had success in the minors and hopes to join the Wild full-time this season.
If Lettieri does not make the Wild out of training camp, he is prepared to start the season in the AHL.
Lettieri's two-way contract will pay him $775,000 per season in the NHL and $550,000 in the minors.
Lettieri is the grandson of Minnesota sports legend Lou Nanne, who also served as GM of the North Stars.
