The report recommends a multi-agency exercise to test the city’s preparedness for extreme heat and calls for more funding and powers for local councils to enable them to adapt to the changing climate more effectively.
Mayor Sadiq Khan has proposed an additional £3 million in the budget to accelerate climate adaptation work.
