Los Angeles forms multi-agency task force to combat surge of flash mob robberies at luxury retailers

A series of flash mob robberies have recently targeted luxury retailers in the Los Angeles area, with thieves making off with hundreds of thousands in merchandise.
Incidents include mass thefts at Nordstrom, Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, and other high-end stores across malls in LA.
In response, LA leaders have created a special task force involving local, state, and federal law enforcement to apprehend the thieves and deter these crimes.
