Lyon Fires Coach Fabio Grosso Amidst Poor Performance

Lyon, a seven-time French champion, is currently at the bottom of the Ligue 1 standings with only seven points from 12 games.
Fabio Grosso, who was appointed as Lyon's coach in September, was fired after less than three months in charge.
Grosso's last game was a 2-0 home league defeat by Lille, leaving Lyon five points adrift of safety.
During his short tenure, Grosso was injured in an attack when the team bus was pelted with stones after a game at Marseille.
Pierre Sage, the academy coach, will take over from Grosso.
