- A magnitude 5.5 earthquake hit Northern California near East Shore.
- The quake was centered about 2 1/2 miles southwest of East Shore.
- People felt the shaking all the way to Sacramento, about 160 miles south.
- The quakes caused minor damage, including broken glass and dishes, but no major damage was reported.
- Since the main shock on Thursday, there have been some 20 aftershocks of magnitudes 2.5 and above.
