Man charged with attempted murder after firing shots outside Memphis Jewish school

Joel Alejandro Bowman tried to enter a Jewish school in Memphis armed with a gun but was denied access.
He then fired shots outside the school before driving away in his truck.
A Memphis police officer later shot Bowman after encountering him.
Bowman has been charged with attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and firearms offenses.
No injuries were reported from the incident as the school was not in session.
