The incident occurred in June at a police station in Albstadt, Germany, when the accused demanded access to a detainee who had allegedly assaulted him previously.
To support his demands, the man claimed to have a live hand grenade and threatened to detonate it, causing alarm among officers present.
The standoff lasted approximately 30 minutes before police subdued and arrested the man, who was found to be unarmed and heavily intoxicated.
