Man Released From Prison Days Earlier Kills Parents and Two Others, Injures Three in Shooting Spree

Joseph Eaton, who had a violent criminal history and was recently released from prison, fatally shot four people in a Maine home, including his parents.
Eaton then wounded three drivers in a shooting on a nearby highway before being taken into custody.
The victims in the home were identified as Eaton's parents, Cynthia and David Eaton, both in their 60s, and two others in their 70s whose names were not released.
The origins and ownership of the firearms used in the shootings were unclear given Eaton's criminal history.
Eaton now faces four counts of murder in the slayings in the home, though charges have yet to be filed in the highway shooting.
