Man Set on Fire in Times Square; Suspect Remains at Large

New York police are investigating an early morning attack where a 45-year-old man was set ablaze, with evidence suggesting the victim knew the assailant.

The incident occurred around 4 a.m. Sunday near West 41st Street and 7th Avenue in the heart of Times Square.
The victim, who sustained burns to his face, neck, chest, and arms, is in stable condition at a local hospital.
Police believe the attacker doused the victim with a flammable liquid, possibly taken from a nearby cart, before igniting him.
Authorities suspect the victim and assailant had a prior connection, as they were seen speaking before the attack.
The attack follows a December subway arson case, raising renewed concerns over public safety in New York City.
