Reum was discovered by two fishermen, Mario Garcia and Nivardo Delatorre, who initially thought the driver was dead.
Reum's vehicle had veered off Interstate 94 and rolled underneath a bridge, leaving him pinned and unable to call for help.
Despite severe injuries, including a broken hand and a leg that was later amputated, Reum is awake and able to speak.
