• Christian Dior Couture announced on May 29 that Chiuri has left her role as creative director of women’s collections, effective immediately.
• Chiuri’s Dior Cruise 2026 presentation on May 27 was staged in Rome’s Villa Albani Torlonia and featured an all-white collection alongside a white-for-women, black-for-men dress code.
• The collection blended haute couture with ready-to-wear pieces inspired by countess Mimì Pecci-Blunt’s 1930 ‘Bal Blanc’ and included collaborations with Rome’s Tirelli costume house.
• Since her 2016 appointment, Chiuri drove Dior couture sales from €2.2 billion to €9.5 billion by 2023 and infused her designs with a committed feminist outlook.
• Dior has not yet named a successor for its women’s lines while Jonathan Anderson recently took charge of the house’s men’s collections.
