Marvel Taps ‘True Detective’ Creator Nic Pizzolatto to Pen ‘Blade’ Reboot Starring Mahershala Ali

Marvel's "Blade" reboot has hired "True Detective" creator Nic Pizzolatto to write the script.
Mahershala Ali, star of "True Detective" Season 3, will play Blade, a vampire slayer, in the film.
The dark superhero film will be directed by Yann Demange and is set to begin filming in May.
Delroy Lindo and Mia Goth have been cast in currently unconfirmed roles in the movie.
“Blade” will hit theaters on September 6, 2024, as the final film in Marvel’s Phase Five.
