Mayim Bialik Steps Down From Hosting 'Jeopardy!' in Solidarity With Writers Guild Strike

Jeopardy! season 39 will continue with cohost Ken Jennings.
Mayim Bialik declined her hosting duties to stand in solidarity with the Writers Guild of America (WGA).
Jeopardy writers are also participating in the WGA picket line.
Bialik's abstaining from appearing on the show is a significant show of solidarity from the actor who once penned an essay entitled “I’d Give Up My First Child to Host Jeopardy! Forever.”
Bialik's FOX sitcom Call Me Kat was canceled last week after three seasons.
