Meerut Woman and Lover Arrested for Husband’s Brutal Murder

Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla confessed to killing Saurabh Rajput, dismembering his body, and sealing it in a cement-filled drum, with the crime unraveling after her mother reported the confession to police.

Saurabh Rajput, a Merchant Navy officer, was murdered on March 4, 2025, by his wife Muskan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
The accused stabbed Saurabh, dismembered his body into 15 pieces, and concealed the remains in a cement-filled drum, which police later recovered using specialized tools.
Muskan and Sahil attempted to mislead investigators by sending messages from Saurabh's phone and posting on social media, while also traveling to Shimla after the crime.
The crime came to light on March 18 when Muskan's mother reported her daughter's confession to the police, leading to the arrests of both accused.
Public outrage has grown, with Muskan's parents demanding the death penalty for their daughter and expressing solidarity with the victim's family.
