Microsoft's March Update Accidentally Removes Copilot from Windows Devices

The latest Windows updates unintentionally uninstalled and unpinned the Copilot app, with users advised to reinstall it manually as Microsoft works on a fix.

Microsoft's March 2025 cumulative updates for Windows 10 and 11 inadvertently uninstalled and unpinned the Copilot AI app from some devices.
The affected updates are KB5053598 for Windows 11 and KB5053606 for Windows 10, impacting multiple versions of both operating systems.
Microsoft is actively working on a resolution but has yet to add this issue to its Windows release health dashboard.
Other update-related problems include installation failures, Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) crashes, and boot failures reported by users.
Microsoft plans to unveil new Copilot features during its 50th anniversary event in April 2025, as it continues to integrate AI into the Windows ecosystem.
