Missing Kerala Schoolgirls Found in Maharashtra, Suspect Detained

Two Class 12 students who vanished en route to an exam were located near Lonavala and are being returned to Kerala by police.

Two teenage girls from Tanur, Kerala, went missing on Wednesday after leaving home to attend an exam but never arrived at school.
The girls were found near Lonavala, Maharashtra, on Thursday night and taken into protective custody by authorities.
A suspect, Rahim Aslam, was detained in Kerala on Saturday and is being interrogated about his potential role in the case.
The girls reportedly visited a salon in Panvel, spending a significant sum of money, and claimed they were attending a marriage function.
Kerala police are escorting the girls back home, where they will undergo questioning and be presented to the Child Welfare Committee before reuniting with their families.
