Mississippi Pipeline Restores Gas Flow After Fire Caused By Lightning Strike

Columbia Gulf Transmission declared a force majeure event at its Corinth Compressor Station in Mississippi due to a fire caused by a suspected lightning strike during severe storms.
The fire has been put out and no one was injured in the incident.
TC Energy Corp. of Calgary, Alberta, the pipeline's owner, has completed operational adjustments and lifted the force majeure it had declared on Friday.
The fire caused minimal impact to facilities, according to Tina Faraca, president of TC Energy's U.S. Natural Gas unit.
The pipeline carries natural gas from southern Appalachia to liquefied natural gas terminals in Louisiana for export.
