Ms. Lauryn Hill has postponed her concerts in Fort Worth and Philadelphia due to a serious case of vocal strain and injury amidst her 25th anniversary tour celebrating her 1998 album 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill'.
The Grammy-winning artist had been trying to overcome these vocal issues and had been pushing through her previous shows with the help of medication, a practice she acknowledges is neither safe nor sustainable.
Despite her efforts, she was advised by her doctors to rest her voice to prevent further strain or damage to her vocal cords, hence leading to the decision to postpone her shows.
While a rescheduled date for the Texas show has not been announced, the Philadelphia show has been rescheduled for Nov. 25.
Despite the setback, Lauryn Hill is expected to resume her tour on November 2nd, with a concert in Denver.
