‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ to Stream Exclusively on Disney+ Starting March 26

Disney announced that 'Mufasa: The Lion King' will be available for streaming on Disney+ beginning March 26, following its successful theatrical release in December 2024.
The film, directed by Oscar-winner Barry Jenkins, serves as both a prequel and sequel to 2019’s live-action 'The Lion King.'
The story is told through flashbacks, narrated by Rafiki, and focuses on Mufasa's rise to leadership after forming a bond with Taka, another lion with royal lineage.
The movie features new songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda and has grossed over $709 million globally, making it the seventh-highest-grossing film of 2024.
The cast includes Aaron Pierre, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Donald Glover, Beyoncé, and Blue Ivy Carter, among others.
