Drew Dixon, a former music executive, filed a lawsuit against Antonio L.A. Reid, accusing him of sexual assault and harassment that derailed her career.
Dixon alleges that Reid abused his position of power to sexually assault her on two separate occasions and subjected her to ongoing harassment, preventing her career development unless she acquiesced to his advances.
Dixon contends that Reid's harassment harmed potential collaborations with artists including John Legend and Kanye West, which led to significant financial loss estimated in millions of dollars.
Dixon alleges that the first assault occurred in 2001 on a private plane with Reid when she thought other executives would be present, and the second assault occurred the same year while riding in Reid's car.
After leaving Arista Records in 2002, Dixon continued to work in music but maintains that Reid’s abuse and retaliation had lasting impacts on her momentum and career opportunities.
