The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) formally adopted the Arab League's counter-proposal to President Trump's plan to take over Gaza and displace its residents.
The Egyptian-led plan seeks to rebuild Gaza under the administration of the Palestinian Authority, excluding a role for Hamas.
Trump's proposal, which suggested turning Gaza into a tourist hub and relocating Palestinians to Egypt or Jordan, has been widely condemned by Arab and Muslim nations.
The Arab League also established a trust fund for Gaza's reconstruction and called for international support, including from the EU, Japan, Russia, and China.
While the U.S. and Israel have rejected the Arab plan, Trump's Middle East envoy described it as a 'good-faith first step,' signaling potential for further dialogue.
