NCAA Considering Shortening Transfer Portal Windows

The NCAA wants to shorten transfer portal windows to 30 days from 60 to help coaches manage rosters.
Most athletes enter the portal at the beginning of the window, data shows.
The proposal would shorten both the spring and winter transfer windows.
The SEC commissioner supports shortening the 45-day winter window as well.
Committees will review the proposal in October before a final vote.
