Netflix Unveils First Look at Crime Drama 'Adolescence', Starring Stephen Graham

The four-part series, set for a 2025 release, features real-time, single-shot episodes and explores a family’s turmoil after a teenager is accused of murder.

• Adolescence follows the story of 13-year-old Jamie, played by newcomer Owen Cooper, who is arrested for the murder of a teenage girl from his school.
• Stephen Graham stars as Jamie’s father and legal supporter, while Ashley Walters plays DI Luke Bascombe, tasked with investigating the case.
• The series is co-created by Stephen Graham and Jack Thorne, known for their acclaimed collaborations on projects like This Is England and The Virtues.
• Directed by Philip Barantini, the show employs a real-time, single-shot filming technique across all four episodes, inspired by the director's previous work on Boiling Point.
• The cast also includes Erin Doherty as a clinical psychologist, alongside Faye Marsay, Christine Tremarco, Mark Stanley, Jo Hartley, and newcomer Amélie Pease.
