Nevada Legislature Delays Vote on Public Funding for A's Stadium in Las Vegas

Lawmakers in Nevada failed to take action on a bill that would have provided $380 million in public funding for a $1.5 billion stadium on the Strip for the Oakland Athletics.
The bill proposing up to $380 million in public funds for the $1.5 billion stadium project was not voted on before the regular session ended.
Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo has called for a special session to discuss the potential financing package.
The bulk of the public funding for the $1.5 billion retractable roof stadium would come from $380 million in public assistance, partly through $180 million in transferable tax credits and $120 million in county bonds.
The proposed 30,000-seat stadium would be the smallest in Major League Baseball.
