New ABC Dating Show 'The Golden Bachelor' With 72-Year-Old Widower Premieres Sept. 28

The Golden Bachelor is a senior dating spinoff of ABC's The Bachelor franchise featuring 72-year-old widower Gerry Turner.
The show will follow the same format as The Bachelor/Bachelorette and be hosted by alum Jesse Palmer.
The 22 contestants are accomplished women between 60-75, including a past Bachelor contestant's mother.
ABC is offering golden discounts to promote the new series premiering Sept. 28 and available next day on Hulu.
The show will air weekly on Thursday nights following the premiere.
