New Jersey Teacher Charged with Sexual Assault of Student in Wildlife Area

Jessica Sawicki, a high school teacher, faces multiple charges after being caught with a student in a state-owned nature preserve.

  • Jessica Sawicki, 37, was arrested and charged with five counts of second-degree sexual assault and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
  • The incidents occurred on multiple occasions at the Assunpink Wildlife Management Area in New Jersey.
  • Sawicki and the student, aged between 16 and 18, were found in 'states of undress' by wildlife officers.
  • The teacher has been placed on administrative leave and is currently held at Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
