Nicole Kidman revealed that she used to lie about her height in order to secure auditions early in her career, stating she was 5ft 10.5in when she is actually 5ft 11in.
She was told that she was 'too tall' to have a career in Hollywood, and was even almost turned away from an audition for 'Annie' due to her height.
Kidman shared that she was often teased about her height, being called 'Stalky' and asked 'How's the air up there?'
Despite the challenges, Kidman has had a successful career, winning an Oscar, a Bafta and six Golden Globes.
She now tells her daughters that 'inner resilience as a human being' is the most important quality, and that they should not let others' opinions define them.
