Niko Medved to Become Minnesota Gophers' Men's Basketball

Medved's hiring follows the firing of Ben Johnson, who struggled with a 56-71 record over four seasons with the Gophers.
During his seven years at Colorado State, Medved achieved a 143-85 record, three NCAA tournament appearances, and a Mountain West championship in 2025.
The move is seen as a homecoming for Medved, who began his coaching career as a student manager and assistant for the Gophers.
