Unidentified Gunmen Strike in Wake of Recent Iran-Pakistan Military Exchanges

Nine Pakistani workers were killed by unidentified gunmen in the southeastern border region of Iran, in the city of Saravan.
The victims were reportedly working at an auto repair shop in the Iranian border region.
No group or individuals have claimed responsibility for the attack.
The attack comes just over a week after Iran and Pakistan carried out military strikes on each other’s territory.
Both countries have since made efforts to de-escalate the situation, with their respective ambassadors returning to their posts.
