The scheme's pilot phase, launched in October 2024, aims to provide 1.25 lakh internships, with over 82,000 offers made in the first round.
The newly launched mobile app features Aadhaar-based registration, a personalized dashboard, real-time alerts, and multi-language accessibility for wider reach.
Finance Minister Sitharaman emphasized the program's role in bridging skill gaps and urged industry participation to build a skilled workforce and leverage India's demographic dividend.
