Nonbinary 'Yellowjackets' Star Declines Emmy Consideration Over Gendered Acting Categories

Nonbinary actor Liv Hewson won't submit for Emmy acting categories which remain separated into male and female.

The Emmys announced more inclusive policies in 2021 but acting categories stay gendered, forcing nonbinary actors to choose where to submit.
Hewson cited lack of inclusivity in acting categories as reason for withdrawing from Emmy consideration this year.
Hewson is okay with current categories but won't participate, concerned even if neutral categories added, women would still get less recognition than cis white men.
