North Carolina Man Fatally Shot in Front of Children During Road Rage Incident

A 75-year-old suspect is charged with murder and attempted murder after a deadly altercation in Catawba County.

  • Jeffrey Michael Guida, 40, was killed in a road rage dispute with Terrell Eugene Giddens, 75, in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina.
  • The incident occurred on October 12 at the intersection of Island Point Road and North View Harbour Drive.
  • Giddens allegedly fired multiple shots, including into Guida's vehicle, which was occupied by his three children, aged 13, 11, and 2.
  • The children were not physically harmed during the incident, according to the Catawba County Sheriff's Office.
  • Giddens was arrested at his home and is being held without bond on charges of murder and three counts of attempted first-degree murder.
