Notre Dame Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick Announces Retirement; NBC's Pete Bevacqua Named Successor

Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick will step down next year after 16 years in the role.
NBC Sports chairman Peter Bevacqua will take over as Notre Dame athletic director in 2024.
Bevacqua will join Notre Dame on July 1 to shadow Swarbrick before officially succeeding him.
During Swarbrick's tenure, Notre Dame won nine national championships across several sports.
Bevacqua is a Notre Dame alumnus and co-chair of RISE, an organization promoting racial equality in sports.
