Novelist Echo Brown Dies at 39 After Battle with Lupus

Echo Brown was an author who published two semi-autobiographical novels in 2020 and 2022.
She created a one-woman show in 2015 that led to a book deal with a major publisher.
Brown passed away in September 2023 at age 39 after struggling with lupus and kidney failure.
Her first book "Black Girl Unlimited" was about her childhood, while her second "The Chosen One" focused on her college years.
Brown had recently collaborated with Tyler Perry on a new novel "A Jazzman's Blues" to be published posthumously.
