Yeremi Colino, a 17-year-old migrant living in a Midtown Manhattan shelter, was fatally stabbed during a brawl near City Hall Park last Thursday evening.
The NYPD released surveillance footage of three male suspects believed to be involved in the stabbing, which they suspect stemmed from a gang-related conflict.
Police identified the incident as a clash between the Los Diablos de la 42 gang and an Afro-Caribbean group, with both sides reportedly armed during the confrontation.
Colino was stabbed in the chest, while an 18-year-old companion sustained a stab wound to the arm; the suspects fled into the Fulton Street subway station.
Authorities are urging the public to assist in identifying the suspects and have emphasized their commitment to investigating all cases with equal urgency.
