Officer Charged With Manslaughter for Fatally Shooting Homeowner Who Called 911

Charles Frederick Sharp III called 911 to report intruders in his yard and was shot by responding police officer Salvatore Oldrati while still on the phone.
Oldrati has been charged with manslaughter for the shooting of Sharp, who was pronounced dead at the hospital.
A replica gun was found near Sharp's body, but Oldrati gave no commands or warnings before opening fire according to investigators.
Oldrati faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted of manslaughter.
The shooting is at least the second by New Jersey police this year to result in criminal charges.
