Officer fatally shoots famed fencer who charged with swords

A police officer on Long Island fatally shot a man who confronted officers with two swords.
The man was identified as Alan Weber, a 54-year-old renowned former fencer.
Officers had responded to Weber's home for a disturbance and he refused to come outside.
When officers entered, Weber charged at them while wearing a fencing mask and wielding swords.
An initial stun gun deployment failed to stop Weber's advance, prompting the officer to open fire.
