Ohio Attorney Suspended for Defecating in Pringles Can, Throwing It at Advocacy Center

Jack Blakeslee's unprofessional behavior deemed as adversely reflecting on his fitness to practice law by the Ohio Supreme Court.

Jack Blakeslee, a criminal defense attorney in Ohio, has been suspended for one year, with six months stayed, by the Ohio Supreme Court for unprofessional behavior.
Blakeslee was found guilty of defecating in a Pringles can and throwing it into the parking lot of a crime-victim advocacy center, Haven of Hope, in Cambridge, Ohio.
The court found 'clear and convincing evidence' that Blakeslee targeted the Haven of Hope center, a place he was familiar with and was scheduled to visit in court just 15 minutes after the incident.
Blakeslee defended his actions by claiming it was a frequent habit of his to 'blow off steam', and that he had done it at least 10 times that year.
Despite his defense, the court ruled that Blakeslee's behavior 'adversely reflects on his fitness to practice law' and brought discredit to the profession.
